Reading to the horses

I spent some time reading to the horses today.

‎2,301 of our horses are going to be rounded up next week and over 1,800 of them will be removed from their homes. Who will be there to watch and take responsibility for their welfare?

Why Blog?

Books and videos can inspire us, but they only show a tiny slice of what goes on between horse and human. The Path of the Horse video has inspired many but then there's the reality of going out to visit your horse. What do you do? Why is he acting the way he's acting? I realized that there is much more that goes on "behind the scenes" between myself and the horses that could be valuable for people to get to see on a daily basis. This blog is my offer of a peek into my daily horse life with the hope that it will give a more realistic view of how horse-human relationships can be developed. This path is a new exploration for both myself and the horses. I welcome and encourage all comments.
